There is no menu at churrascaria; instead
you get everything the place has to offer, all at
a set price. The word churrascaria originated from Portuguese,
and it literally means house of barbecue. The European Brazilians elaborated the
idea further around the turn of the century, and it
has become synonymous for a place in which you continuously partake
all kinds of meats in full circle until you are more
than fully satiated; this is called Rodigio, which means in cycle. Green
Field offers the following selections:
Meats - Various sirloins, ribs, and steaks slowly
grilled over an open wooden charcoal pit, and then served at your
table. Pork, chicken, lamb, rabbit, quail and seasonal fish are also
offered.
Salad bar Fresh vegetables and fruits, and many more
items.
Hot Food A traditional Brazilian stew called
feijoada, as well as pasta, fish, and various kinds of soup are also
offered.
